We went for a walk in the eye of the storm (the middle of the hurricane where it is not as windy and rainy as the rest of the storm) and saw a tree that fell down and brought the fence with it!!
All the bins have been turned upside down to prevent it being blown away and damaging something.
We also walked down by the river and could see the lines of leaves where the water had gotten up to. At one point the water had flooded the big road near by.
We didn't see this next bit but read it online, 2 cars got stuck in water on 10th ave and we are staying on 11th ave. It's very exiting.
A tree fell down and the fire brigade came to cut it up so they could put the pieces on the side of the road!!!!!!!
I'm glad we didn't have to Evacuate cause we get to see some action!!!!!

Mila in New York

Today I am in a hurricane (But I am inside the apartment). Outside it is extremely rainy and across the road a tree fell down and the fire brigade had to chop it up and put the pieces on the side of the road.

I arrived here on Friday night just before parts of the city were evacuated.

We had a giant pizza, much bigger than my head (and it was only a medium).

I won't be able to post photos for a while until we get a computer. The iPad doe not like posting to the blog!

Paris

On Sunday we went out to dinner with a distant relative named Caroline. She is very nice.

On Monday we went to Mont Parnasse and saw the fantastic views of Paris without a big, ugly black blob in the middle of the view (Mont Parnasse). At the top it was windy.
In the evening we went on a cruise up and down the Seine and were informed about lots of monuments.

 I like sliding down railings

We found these faces in 3 different places around Paris

The Loire Valley

On Thursday we hired a car and drove to a Château in the Loire Valley. The Château is called Chambord and it has lots and lots of turrets!!! Here are some photoes:

A pool table with no pockets

Taken from the middle of 2 staircases (they are like a DNA psiral)

looking from one spiral staircase to another and because we went up separate staircases we lost each other for a while

A path from the castle in a perfect strait line

 some of the turrets

The turret in the centre of the building

Down the middle of the spiral staircases

 A massive tapestry

They liked hunting ( there were 54 head things in this room)

Everyone was tired so they lay down

 They hunted more

 More turrets

 An outside spiral staircase

 Lots of old keys

 A bed

 One of the original turrets

The top of the original middle turret

after looking around we saw some magnums...
 And finish them all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For the night we stayed in a youth hostel.

The next day we went to another Château called Chenonceau. Here are some photoes:

We made it to the centre of the maze

We found a massive red slug

I was looking at the lonely fish

We met a guy called Oscar

 The garden was pretty

 The tree was boongy

 I fell in the pond
Ther were lots of cool ceilings

 The arches on the water

Dad saw me through  a window

There were lots of pots and pants and everyone was amazed

 We liked the bread boards
